Ohio Department of Insurance Staff Bios

Doug Anderson was named the Department's Chief Policy Officer in February 2008. He is leading efforts to develop reforms to Ohio’s health insurance and health care system to provide affordable coverage to Ohio’s uninsured residents; to improve the cost, quality and efficiency of Ohio’s health care system; and to improve the health of all Ohioans.

Doug has been with the Department for more than six years providing legal and strategic advice on a wide range of insurance and health care issues. He previously worked as an attorney at Porter Wright Morris & Arthur in Columbus, where he became a partner.

Doug graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in economics and from The Ohio State University College of Law.
