Ohio Department of Insurance Staff Bios

Anne Jewel was named the Assistant Director to the Office of Policy and Research in February 2008. She joined the Department in September 2007.

Prior to coming to the Department, she was a principal in the regulatory consulting firm of Jewel & Bahnsen, LLC for six years, specializing in health insurance issues and worked an additional four years with the insurance regulatory firm of Rector & Associates, Inc., specializing in general insurance regulatory consulting with particular emphasis on corporate business transactions. Anne served previously at the Ohio Department of Insurance from 1988 to 1991. She has also worked as an attorney in private practice at the law firm of Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan and Aronoff and as an attorney in public practice at the Office of the Attorney General of Ohio.
