Ohio Miscellaneous Regulatory Material Bulletin 2000-2 Multiple line packages or programs |
Effective Date
September 27, 2000 |
Pursuant to Section 3935.02 (E) of the Ohio Revised Code, the department designates that multiple line packages and programs will be considered under the "file and use" provision of Chapter 3937 of the Ohio Revised Code, unless otherwise designated by the insurer making the filing.
The effect of this bulletin is that any filing of a package policy or program that contains both a property and liability component, such as homeowners and commercial multi-peril, will no longer be subject to approval or a thirty-day waiting period before the product can be used in Ohio. Once the department receives the filing, it can be used in Ohio subject to the provisions of Chapter 3937.
This bulletin supersedes previous department policy and any bulletins inconsistent with this bulletin.
