Ohio Revised Code requires all
resident applicants to pass a criminal background check conducted
by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification
(“BCI”). The use of other background investigations
services is not permitted.
To complete a background check applicants must use WebCheck,
a web-based fingerprinting technology that processes background
checks within two business days. The results of the background
check must be directly submitted to the Ohio Department of
Insurance (“ODI”) or from one of the ODI’s
authorized WebCheck locations listed below. Results received
directly by any other WebCheck location or company/individual
not listed below will be returned.
ODI will only accept background check results
after an exam has been passed. Results received prior to
the passage of an exam may be returned.
WebCheck is available at the following authorized
locations:
Pearson VUE
WebCheck is offered, as a convenience, at all Ohio Pearson
VUE test centers. Pearson VUE’s WebCheck is only available
immediately after the successful completion of an exam. Applicants
may not return to a test center at a later time for WebCheck
processing. |
