Third Party Administrators are required to be licensed with the Ohio Department of Insurance under Ohio Administrative Code 3901-1-51 and the Ohio Revised Code sections 3959.01-3959.99. The Third Party Administrator license fee is $200.00. Checks or money orders should be made payable to the Ohio Treasurer Richard Cordray. Third Party Administrators are required to have an employee dishonesty bond or fidelity bond for a minimum of 10% of the TPAs Ohio based claims projected annually. The Third Party Administrator license renews annually on July 1. Renewal applications are mailed to all currently licensed Ohio Third Party Administrators at the end of April. The Third Party Administrator renewal fee is $300.00. Checks or money orders should be made payable to the Ohio Treasurer Richard Cordray.
